Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group

Went to Orlin Cohen in Bohemia for my shoulder. Meet with an orthopedic surgeon who was very helpful and had an MRI done at the same location. I was very pleased with both, so l decided to do my physical therapy there as well. That's when the honeymoon ended. I had an initial evaluation done, started therapy the following week, but had to reschedule due to work schedule change. Apparently, if you start with one therapist's you are not allowed to change. So after two appointments, they canceled my remaining sessions and told me l would have to see the original therapist if l wish to continue. So l guess my work schedule doesn't matter and l should just lose days at work to please the 1st therapist. Major let down l will just continue my therapy elsewhere.

Find another orthopedic. Trust me on this. I went there with a problem with my finger back at end of January , Only was given an x-ray and physical therapy. Months later still no MRI even after I asked because I did not have a broken bone however my hand was swollen and I could not bend my pointer finger down and the pain was excruciating. I was told why do I need an MRI now 7 months later I go to see a new orthopedic who orders an MRI right away turns out I had a tear in a tendon which would have required surgery to fix it correctly now due to it being an older injury he wants to avoid surgery due to more issues in my future. Now I'm currently having more problems into my thumb and I'm thankful that I'm a retired police officer now. however if I was still currently working I would have a huge problem with my job thank you to Dr Pallata. I voiced my concerns and his response was well your hand might never be the same. Do yourself a favor get another opinion after you go to this location. Dr Mirza was my second opinion and is doing an amazing job, well the best he can do thanks to this doctors error.

I had foot surgery on April 10, 2023. The post op instructions were terrible. I had to keep calling to get a PA on the phone to give me instructions and a prescription. It was nearly impossible to get a RN or PA on the phone who knew what they were doing. Orlin and Cohen doesn’t offer “My Chart.” Everything would have been so much easier if I could have sent messages to doctor and staff regarding my questions. I highly recommend O & C investing in this secure website and phone app that is accepted world wide. I saw my doctor out of the Bohemia office. The front of office “staff” and patient reception was abominable. The staff was rude, uninterested and not helpful at all. I suggest management goes in blindly to assess this unfavorable situation. Patients should be treated with a smile and prompt assistance. Had I known that Orlin and Cohen had these issues, I would’ve gone to HSS. Be better. Improvement is needed. I want to note that my surgeon was good and that I can run and hike again.

I am very pleased to say that I sustained an injury that required immediate surgery. I hobbled in on one leg, to the Bohemia office, and the next week surgery was preformed to fix a tear in my knee and I was walking that same night! Dr Price and Leslie Davis PA were so professional, informative and kind. Dr Price answered all of my questions and concerns. He was very positive that he could restore my knee back to full use and he truly is a man of his word. Nice to have met such a wonderful team in a time of need! I would highly recommend Dr Price and PA Davis !
